How-to
Give me access to your Facebook and Instagram (Meta)
This page shows how to give me access to your Facebook Page, Instagram account, ad account, and pixel. You invite my email into your business portfolio from inside your own Meta Business Suite. You never send me a password, your business stays the owner, and you can remove me at any time.
On this page
What to enter
tuckershively@gmail.comBefore you begin
- Your Page needs to sit in a business portfolio (Meta used to call this Business Manager). If your Page only lives under your personal Facebook profile, see the first troubleshooting item below.
- You need full access to that business portfolio. Only people with full access can invite others.
- To share your Instagram account, it must be connected to the portfolio and you must be logged in to it there: in Settings, click Instagram accounts, select the account, and log in.
Invite me with full access
- Open Settings in Meta Business Suite
Go to business.facebook.com, make sure your business's portfolio is the one selected at the top left, and open Settings.
- Open People
Click People in the left menu. If you do not see People, you do not have full access to the portfolio.
- Start the invite
Click Invite people at the top right.
- Enter my email
Type
tuckershively@gmail.comand click Next. - Choose full access to the portfolio
Meta starts everyone on basic access. Change it to Full access, then click Next. If you also want me to handle ad billing and invoices, turn on finance access here too.
- Choose every asset with full access
Select your Facebook Page, Instagram account, ad account, and dataset or pixel, and give each one full access. Then click Invite.
- Text me that it is sent
Text (502) 689-3174 so I know to accept. If someone else in your portfolio also has full access, Meta may ask them to approve the invite under Requests in Settings first.
Why full access
Meta has two levels: full access and partial access. Meta describes full access as the highest level, with control of the portfolio's settings, people, tools, and assets. Partial access limits a person to the assets and tasks they are assigned. I ask for full access so nothing waits on a second invite: posting, answering messages, running ads, setting up the pixel and the Conversions API, and connecting Instagram all sit in one place.
| Who | Access | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| You | Full access | Your business owns the portfolio, the Page, the Instagram account, the ad account, and the pixel. You see everyone who has access and can remove anyone, including me. |
| Me | Full access | I can manage the Page, Instagram, ads, and pixel, and the portfolio settings they depend on. |
Adding me does not move anything out of your business. The portfolio and every asset in it stay yours if you ever stop working with me.
Verify it works
- In Settings, under People,
tuckershively@gmail.comshows with full access once I accept. - Each asset you chose lists me with full access.
- I reply to confirm I can see each one. Meta says some features can take a few days to show up for a new person.
Troubleshooting
Remove my access later
In Meta Business Suite, open Settings, then People, select tuckershively@gmail.com, and remove me. I lose access to every asset at once. Your Page, followers, ads, and data stay with you.
